Documents and reading
Which files can I add?
ReadFlow accepts PDF, DOCX, TXT, and Markdown files up to 20 MB, plus pasted text. Signed-in users can also import public article URLs where the site permits fetching.
Can ReadFlow read a scanned PDF?
Yes. Choose English, Hindi, or both in the OCR language control before upload. OCR runs in your browser and downloads language files when first needed. Recognition depends on scan clarity and layout.
Why does word highlighting sometimes become sentence highlighting?
Some browser voices do not report word-boundary events. ReadFlow follows actual word events when available and falls back to highlighting the sentence when they are absent.
Can I save my own highlights and notes?
Yes. Select a sentence in the reader or use your current reading position, then bookmark, highlight, or add a private note. The Saved tab lists your items. Tags help organize documents in the library.
Accounts and offline access
Do I need an account?
No. You can keep documents and reading positions in this browser. Sign in if you want private cloud sync across devices and account export.
How does offline reading work?
When signed in and online, choose “Available offline” on a synced document. ReadFlow saves the document and reader assets on that device. Up to 10 selected documents and 100 MB can be kept offline. The device needs to retain your signed-in session; browser storage can be removed by the browser or device settings.
Can I export or delete my account data?
Yes. In the signed-in library, choose “Export my data” for a ZIP, or “Delete account” to remove account documents, files, reading positions, notes, and tags. See the privacy page for details about browser copies and backups.
Does narration send document text to another voice service?
ReadFlow currently uses your browser's speech engine. Browser or operating-system voice behavior varies by device. ReadFlow does not send document text to a separate narration provider.
